Loans without SCHUFA - serious or rip-off?

The business of necessity

Many people have fallen into financial difficulties either through no fault of their own or through carelessness.

If this is then reflected in the SCHUFA information, then the bank or savings bank usually rejects a loan request. This means that you cannot get a loan for a car, even though you urgently need the car for your new job. Not few get so into a dangerous downward spiral. This emergency situation make themselves quite windige Geschäftemacher to use and try from your misery capital to strike. And that in extremely unserious kind. But let's take a closer look at this topic to really understand which offers are serious and which are not. To understand what exactly is happening, you need to understand the financial market a little bit.

The links between banks and savings banks have grown historically in Germany and are unique in the world. Now you can think that's good or bad - it's just the way it is. So if you have a negative SCHUFA, your house bank will usually not give you a loan because the risk would be too great that it would not get its money back. Loans that default ultimately mean a loss for your bank - and of course it doesn't want that, because banks also have to operate profitably.

Because banks have a lot of customers, it has proven to only issue loans to people with a perfect SCHUFA. Of course, this does not take into account that you may have the SCHUFA entry due to a long period of unemployment, but are now just starting a new great job and are a really reliable person. It is not possible for most banks to take a closer look here, or they have to adhere to their internal regulations.

Credit despite SCHUFA

Now, however, there are banks or investors who issue loans even though there is a SCHUFA entry.

And now it gets interesting: The banks or investors behind these offers are often based in neighboring countries, such as Switzerland. In other countries, SCHUFA doesn't play a role, so these financial service providers use other ways to check whether you can get a loan. This includes, for example, a permanent employment relationship, which you must prove.

No work and enforcement measures on the leg is, however, also there a conceivably bad condition to get a loan, because these banks have nothing to give away and are dependent on the fact that you also pay back the loan. As a rule, the interest rates at these banks are then also somewhat higher than at the local bank or savings bank. But all this is perfectly fine up to here, not unserious and no rip-off, but simply a financial business.

The worst rip-off!

At what point does it become dubious? There are numerous "financial brokers" on the Internet, some with and some without a license. They try to profit from your predicament. And this is how it works: You register on some website that promises you a "loan even in hopeless cases". This is where common sense should kick in at the latest: Credit in hopeless cases? Why would a bank that is still in its right mind offer that? You see, loans in hopeless cases cannot exist in purely logical terms. But then what is the business model behind these offers, and why do they try to lure you in for such offers?

Quite simply: because in your distress you are ready for anything and clutch at any straw to get a loan. And that's exactly where these dubious brokers come in. A fee is charged for "checking" the application, or you are asked to take out a certain insurance policy "to secure" the loan. Of course, this fee is retained, even if you do not get the loan and the useless insurance you also have the leg.

And should you actually obtain a loan through such a channel, you can be sure that the interest charged will be so "washed" that it will worsen rather than improve your situation.

Serious loans without SCHUFA

As already mentioned, however, there are also reputable providers. You can recognize them by the fact that they never expect you to pay anything in advance, such as commission or fees for "checking" the application. And it is in the nature of things that these providers may well reject a loan request. As a rule, a permanent employment relationship is a prerequisite and your individual situation is examined.

In this case, a SCHUFA entry is not necessarily harmful, as long as the provider recognizes a positive development with you - and can access your salary in case of doubt, should you not repay the loan as agreed. On our website you will find a form that can be used to apply for such a reputable loan.

There they will look at your situation and then decide very quickly whether you will get the loan or not. Please remain realistic on this subject - loans in difficult phases are possible, but loans in hopeless cases are not granted by any bank in this world!
